Lions in Sight Lions in Sight is involved in all aspects of eyeglass recycling, processing and distribution. Whittier Host Lions send our collected eyglasses to them and they clean and process the glasses, and distribute them to temporary and permanent clinics throughout the world.

Lions Multiple District 4 Website Multiple District 4 represents the Lions organization in 15 Districts covering California and an Administrative Office in Santa Barbara, California.
MD4 is governed by the District Governors and Vice District Governors from the 15 Districts of California and is known as the 'Council of Governors'. The Council Chairman is elected from the preceding year's District Governors.

Lions Sight and Hearing Foundation of Southern California Lions Sight and Hearing Foundation of Southern California Website - the Lions Sight and Hearing Foundation of Southern California (LEFSC) owns and operates our Lion eyemobile. The calendar for the Eyemobile is on this site and you can download the form to reserve the unit. LSHFSC also sponsors eye needs of Southern California in the area of financial grants for cornea transplants, cataract surgeries, and other sight saving procedures.

Boys and Girls Club of Whittier
The Boys & Girls Club of Whittier provides year round programs for youth ages 7 through 18 years old in the areas of: Education and Career Development, Character and Leadership Development, Health and Life Skills, Sports, Fitness and Recreation and The Arts. Whittier Host Lions has provided support to the Club, most recently we funded a performing arts room in the Club.

CAPC - Community Advocates for People's Choice CAPC provides comprehensive services for adults with disabilities in the greater Whittier area. Individualized instructional and support services are based on each person's desired lifestyle. Whittier Host Lions have provided assistance to CAPC.

Official website for the City of Whittier. Whittier is located in Los Angeles County, about 12 miles southeast of the City of Los Angeles. A five Member City Council under the Council-Manager form of government directs the City. Whittier is a charter law city and was incorporated in 1898.

Intercommunity Counseling Center
Intercommunity Counseling Center provides professional counseling, sensitive to the spiritual needs of clients of every race, creed, and color to meet the diversified needs of the Whittier community. The Center offers a variety of classes and workshops, such as Active Parenting and Men's Anger Management and offers individual, couple/marital, and family therapy sessions.

Oralingua School for the Hearing Impaired Whittier Host Lions have provided funding for scholarships and needed capital items for Oralingua School in Whittier for years. Located in Whittier since 1969, Oralingua is an auditory-oral day school for children ages infancy to 10 years.

Presbyterian Intercommunity Hospital
Since opening in 1959, Presbyterian Intercommunity Hospital has been recognized as our area's leading hospital and healthcare center. Whittier Host Lions recently provided funding for the playroom in the hospital's new Pediatrics unit. This playroom is named "Whittier Host Lions Den."

Whittier Area Chamber of Commerce
Whittier Area Chamber of Commerce is a very active organization that provides a vehicle for Whittier Businesses to promote their business. Whittier Host Lions club is a member of this organization. Our members have provided leadership for the Chamber over the years.

Whittier Museum
The Whittier Museum is owned and operated by the Whittier Historical Society and features exhibits of life in early Whittier. Docents conduct tours of the museum for weekend visitors. Whittier Host Lions have provided assistance to the Museum over the years. Most recently we provided funding for the Veterans Honor Wall.

YMCA of Greater Whittier
The YMCA of Greater Whittier is an association of all people united in a common effort to put Judeo-Christian principles into daily practice and to enrich the quality of spiritual, mental, physical, and social life of their families, their community, and themselves. Whittier Host Lions has been a major supporter of the Greater Whittier YMCA. Most recently we funded the rennovation of Camp Arbolado's kitchen in Lion's Lodge with joint funding from LCIF.
